The Education and Research Foundation for Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (ERF) is the leading source of private philanthropic financial support focused exclusively on education and research programs in nuclear medicine and molecular imaging. Founded in 1969, ERF is an independent, non- profit organization governed by a board of physicians, scientists, technologists, patient advocates, and other professionals. ERF board members are also members of SNMMI, many of whom serve or have served in multiple leadership roles within SNMMI and SNMMI-TS. The vast majority of the ERF's contributions have been given in partnership with the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI). With the ERF's review and approval, the SNMMI selects the best and brightest physicians, scientists, technologists, and students in our field to receive ERF funding. ERF is the largest single contributor of educational and research awards to the SNMMI and SNMMI-TS.
